Charles Stuart Aubrey Abbott, 3rd Baron Tenterden1 
He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Tenterden, of Hendon in the county of Middlesex [U.K., 1827] on 10 April 1870.2 He held the office of Permanent Under-Secretary of State, Foreign Affairs.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3
