     Charles Stuart Aubrey Abbott, 3rd Baron Tenterden was born on 26 December 1834.² He was the son of Hon. Charles Abbott and Emily Frances Stuart.² He married, firstly, Penelope Mary Gertrude Smyth, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir John Rowland Smyth and Hon. Catherine Alice Abbott, on 2 August 1859.² He married, secondly, Emily Mary Bailey, daughter of Charles Bailey, on 13 January 1880.² He died on 21 May 1928 at age 93.²
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Tenterden, of Hendon in the county of Middlesex [U.K., 1827] on 10 April 1870.² He held the office of Permanent Under-Secretary of State, Foreign Affairs.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)² He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.³
     

     Hon. Audrey Mary Florence Abbott was the daughter of Charles Stuart Aubrey Abbott, 3rd Baron Tenterden and Penelope Mary Gertrude Smyth.^2,3 She married, firstly, Major Robert Gordon Handcock, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Robert French Handcock and Isabella Louisa Gordon, on 30 March 1882.¹ She married, secondly, William Harry Nash, son of John Nash, on 8 July 1915.¹ She died on 24 November 1945.¹
     From 30 March 1882, her married name became Handcock. From 8 July 1915, her married name became Nash.¹

     Stannus Henry Handcock was born on 11 April 1852.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Robert French Handcock and Isabella Louisa Gordon.² He married Theodosia Violet Blacker, daughter of Murray McGregor Blacker, on 11 September 1883.¹ He died on 31 January 1938 at age 85.¹

     Murray McGregor Blacker lived at Goldingham Hall, Sudbury, Norfolk, England^G.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Mayo.¹

     Theodosia Violet Blacker was the daughter of Murray McGregor Blacker.² She married Stannus Henry Handcock, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Robert French Handcock and Isabella Louisa Gordon, on 11 September 1883.¹ She died on 18 August 1931.¹
     From 11 September 1883, her married name became Handcock.

     Edward Stanley Handcock was born on 6 August 1853.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Robert French Handcock and Isabella Louisa Gordon.² He married, firstly, Lucy Eleanor Archer, daughter of Captain Clement Robert Archer and Eliza Swetenham, on 3 July 1880.¹ He married, secondly, Rose Marion Middleton, daughter of Colonel William Alexander Middleton, on 13 April 1889.¹ He died on 22 April 1928 at age 74.¹

     Clement W. Archer was born circa 1850 at Tinwell, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of Captain Clement Robert Archer and Eliza Swetenham.¹

     Lucy Eleanor Archer was born in 1847 at Newbold Astbury, Cheshire, England^G.² She was the daughter of Captain Clement Robert Archer and Eliza Swetenham.^3,2 She married, firstly, Captain Hugh Campbell.¹ She married, secondly, Edward Stanley Handcock, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Robert French Handcock and Isabella Louisa Gordon, on 3 July 1880.¹ She died in 1882.¹
     Her married name became Campbell.¹ She lived at Hill House, Hampton, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ From 3 July 1880, her married name became Handcock.

     Robert Harris Temple Handcock was born on 5 May 1881.¹ He was the son of Edward Stanley Handcock and Lucy Eleanor Archer.² He married Norah Isabel Sherston, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Sherston, on 30 December 1907.¹ He died on 11 December 1913 at age 32.¹
     He lived at Karura, Kenya^G.¹

     Lt.-Col. John Sherston gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Rifle Brigade.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹
