William Francis Cyril James Hamilton Napier, 13th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Violet Muir Newson.¹ He married Delia Mary Pearson, daughter of Major Archibald David Barclay Pearson and Hilda Constance Helen Blackburn, on 30 October 1958.² He died on 15 March 2012 at age 81.³
     Major Francis Nigel Napier, 14th Lord Napier of Merchistoun usually went by his middle name of Nigel.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.² He fought in the Malayan Emergency between 1950 and 1951, where he was invalided.² He succeeded as the 5th Baron Ettrick of Ettrick, co. Selkirk [U.K., 1872] on 23 August 1954.¹ He succeeded as the 14th Lord Napier of Merchistoun [S., 1627] on 23 August 1954.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Scott, of Thirlestane [N.S., 1666] on 23 August 1954.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Scots Guards.² He gained the rank of Adjutant between 1955 and 1957 in the 1st Battalion, Scots Guards.² He was Equerry to HRH the Duke of Gloucester between 1958 and 1960.² He was Deputy Ceremonial and Protocol Secretary, CRO between 1962 and 1966.² He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.² He was Comptroller and Equerry to HRH The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon between 1973 and 1998.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Selkirk between 1974 and 1975.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Ettrick and Lauderdale in 1975.² He was appointed Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1980.² He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1985.² He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.) in 1991.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1992.²

     Ernest Pendleton Magruder was the son of Hon. C. C. Magruder.¹ He married Maryel Alpina Mac Gregor, daughter of Rear-Admiral Sir Malcolm Mac Gregor of Mac Gregor, 4th Bt. and Lady Helen Laura McDonnell, on 23 October 1911.¹ He died on 8 April 1915 at Belgrade, Serbia^G.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He was Professor of Clinical Surgery at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., U.S.A.^G.¹

     F/Lt. Ernest Pendleton Francis Magruder was born on 22 December 1912 at Washington, D.C., U.S.A.¹ He was the son of Ernest Pendleton Magruder and Maryel Alpina Mac Gregor. He died on 28 August 1942 at age 29 at Malta^G, killed in action.
     He fought in the Second World War. He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserves.

     Sir Robert Menzies of that Ilk, 7th Bt. was born on 26 September 1817.¹ He was the son of Sir Neil Menzies of that Ilk, 6th Bt. and Hon. Grace Conyers Charlotte Norton.¹ He married Annie Balcarres Stewart, daughter of Major James Alston Stewart, on 10 June 1846.¹ He died on 22 April 1903 at age 85.¹
     He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Menzies [N.S., 1665] on 20 August 1844.¹

     Colonel William Alexander Middleton is the son of Colonel Charles Middleton.² He married Harriet Margaret Kavanagh, daughter of Thomas Kavanagh, The MacMorrough and Lady Harriete Margaret Le Poer Trench, on 28 February 1851.^3,2
     He lived at Borris, County Carlow, Ireland^G.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Susan Jayne Savage is the daughter of Brian Savage.¹ She married Alexander David Murray, son of David John Murray and Joanna Lincoln, in 1987.¹
     Her married name became Murray.

     Emma Kate Murray was born in 1988.¹ She is the daughter of Alexander David Murray and Susan Jayne Savage.¹

     William John David Murray was born in 1976.¹ He is the son of David John Murray and Joanna Lincoln.¹

     Sir Hector David Mackenzie of Gairloch, 8th Bt. was born on 6 June 1893.¹ He was the son of Sir Kenneth John Mackenzie of Gairloch, 7th Bt. and Lady Marjorie Louisa Murray.¹ He died on 10 May 1958 at age 64, unmarried, when the territorial Barony of Gairloch passed to his niece.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Lovat Scouts Yeomanry.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Mackenzie, of Gairloch [N.S., 1703] on 4 December 1929.¹ He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ross and Cromarty in 1932.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Ross and Cromarty before 1935.¹ He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty between 1935 and 1936.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty between 1936 and 1958.¹

     Roderick Ian Mackenzie was born on 27 May 1895.¹ He was the son of Sir Kenneth John Mackenzie of Gairloch, 7th Bt. and Lady Marjorie Louisa Murray.² He died on 11 April 1915 at age 19, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion, Black Watch (Royal Highlanders.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹
