Charles Abbott, 1st Baron Tenterden 
He was educated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.2 He held the office of Puisne Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in 1815.2 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1816.2 He held the office of Lord Chief Justice of England in 1818.2 He held the office of Judge of the Court of King’s Bench.2 He was created 1st Baron Tenterden, of Hendon in the county of Middlesex [U.K.] on 30 April 1827.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3
