     George Carnegie was born on 18 November 1726.² He was the son of Sir John Carnegie of Pittarrow, 2nd Bt. and Mary Burnett.¹ He married Susan Scott, daughter of David Scott, on 1 March 1769.² He died on 12 April 1799 at age 72.²
     He fought in the Battle of Culloden in 1746, after which he escaped to Sweden.² He was a merchant at Gothenburg, Sweden^G.² He purchased estate of Pittarrow in 1767 from Sir David Carnegie, 4th Bt.¹

     Sarah Hardy is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Thomas Carteret Hardy.¹ She married Reverend Daniel Lysons.
     Her married name became Lysons.¹

     Lt.-Col. Thomas Carteret Hardy married Sarah Price.²
     He was Colonel Commandant of the Yorkhire Fusiliers.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the York Fusiliers.¹

     Lt.-Col. Ughtred Elliott Carnegy Carnegy, 12th of Lour was born in 1886.² He was the son of Francis Edward Joseph and Isabella Eliza Butter Carnegy of Lour.^2,3 He married Violet Henderson, daughter of Henry William Henderson and Elvira de Orihuela, on 8 November 1919.¹ He died on 1 February 1973.¹
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Lour, Forfar, Angus, Scotland^G.¹

     Isabella Eliza Butter Carnegy of Lour was born in 1862.^2,3 She was the daughter of Patrick Carnegie and Isabella Grace MacNab Butter.¹ She married Francis Edward Joseph on 20 September 1881.¹ She died on 25 January 1954.¹
     She was given the name of Isabella Eliza Butter Carnegie at birth.¹ From 20 September 1881, her married name became Joseph.³ In 1915 her name was legally changed to Isabella Eliza Butter Carnegie after succeeding to Lour.¹

     Patrick Carnegie was born on 20 May 1825.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Alexander Carnegie and Isabella Don.¹ He married Isabella Grace MacNab Butter, daughter of Donald Butter, on 25 November 1854.¹ He died in 1886.¹
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)¹ He was Commissioner of the Indian Service.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)¹

     Maj.-Gen. Alexander Carnegie was born on 25 February 1793.¹ He was the son of Patrick Carnegie of Lour and Margaret St. Clair Bower.¹ He married Isabella Don, daughter of William Don, in September 1823.¹ He died on 1 August 1862 at age 69.¹
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Indian Army.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Patrick Carnegie of Lour was born on 25 February 1757.¹ He was the son of Patrick Carnegie of Lour and Margaret Graham.¹ He married Margaret St. Clair Bower, daughter of Alexander Bower, on 20 April 1789.¹ He died on 24 November 1819 at age 62.¹
     He lived at Lour, Scotland.¹ He had three other sons.¹
