     William Robert Bradley Craven, 6th Earl of Craven was born on 8 September 1917.¹ He was the son of William George Bradley Craven, 5th Earl of Craven and Mary Williamina George.¹ He married, firstly, Gwendoline Irene Meyrick, daughter of Ferdinand Richard Holmes Meyrick and Katherine Evelyn Nason, on 3 May 1939.¹ He and Gwendoline Irene Meyrick were divorced in 1954.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Gwendolen Teresa Johnstone-Douglas, daughter of Robert Sholto Johnstone-Douglas and Bettina Grisewood, on 25 September 1954.¹ He died on 27 January 1965 at age 47.¹
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 12th Baron Craven of Hampsted Marshall, Berkshire [E., 1627] on 15 September 1932.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Craven [U.K., 1801] on 15 September 1932.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Uffington, co. Berkshire [U.K., 1801] on 15 September 1932.¹ He was educated at Northamptonshire Institute of Agriculture, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant (E) in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.² He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards.² He fought in the Second World War.² He held the office of Member of the East Sussex County Council in 1957.² He was awarded the Knight, Sovereign Military Order of Malta in 1959.²

     Gwendoline Irene Meyrick was the daughter of Ferdinand Richard Holmes Meyrick and Katherine Evelyn Nason.¹ She married William Robert Bradley Craven, 6th Earl of Craven, son of William George Bradley Craven, 5th Earl of Craven and Mary Williamina George, on 3 May 1939.¹ She and William Robert Bradley Craven, 6th Earl of Craven were divorced in 1954.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Andrew MacTaggart after 1954.² She died on 13 March 2002.²
     Gwendoline Irene Meyrick usually went by her middle name of Irene.² From 3 May 1939, her married name became Craven. After her marriage, Gwendoline Irene Meyrick was styled as Countess of Craven on 3 May 1939. From after 1954, her married name became MacTaggart.²

     Ferdinand Richard Holmes Meyrick was born circa 1868.² He married Katherine Evelyn Nason, daughter of John William Washington Nason and Sarah Frances Bateman, on 12 December 1899.^3,2 He and Katherine Evelyn Nason were divorced in 1919.² He died in 1940.²
     He was given the name of Ferdinand Richard Holmes Merrick at birth.² He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He lived at 59 Kensington Court, London, England^G.⁴

     Elizabeth Gwendolen Teresa Johnstone-Douglas was born on 2 June 1916.² She was the daughter of Robert Sholto Johnstone-Douglas and Bettina Grisewood.^1,2 She married, firstly, William Robert Bradley Craven, 6th Earl of Craven, son of William George Bradley Craven, 5th Earl of Craven and Mary Williamina George, on 25 September 1954.¹ She married, secondly, Kenneth Harmwood Banner on 27 July 1966.¹ She died on 26 June 2011 at age 95.³
     From 25 September 1954, her married name became Craven. After her marriage, Elizabeth Gwendolen Teresa Johnstone-Douglas was styled as Countess of Craven on 25 September 1954. Her married name became Banner. She lived in 2003 at Peelings Manor, Pevensey, Sussex, England^G.⁴

     Thomas Robert Douglas Craven, 7th Earl of Craven was born on 24 August 1957.¹ He was the son of William Robert Bradley Craven, 6th Earl of Craven and Elizabeth Gwendolen Teresa Johnstone-Douglas.¹ He died on 22 October 1983 at age 26, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 13th Baron Craven of Hampsted Marshall, Berkshire [E., 1627] on 27 January 1965.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Craven [U.K., 1801] on 27 January 1965.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Uffington, co. Berkshire [U.K., 1801] on 27 January 1965.¹

     Arthur Henry Johnstone-Douglas was born on 23 June 1846.² He was the son of Robert Johnstone-Douglas of Lockerbie and Lady Jane Margaret Mary Douglas.² He married Jane Maitland Hathorn-Stewart, daughter of Stair Hathorn-Stewart and Jane Rothes Maitland, on 14 July 1869.² He died on 26 March 1923 at age 76.²
     He gained the rank of officer in the 42nd Highlanders.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dumfries-shire.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dumfries-shire.¹ He lived at Lockerbie, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.¹

     Jane Maitland Hathorn-Stewart was the daughter of Stair Hathorn-Stewart and Jane Rothes Maitland.¹ She married Arthur Henry Johnstone-Douglas, son of Robert Johnstone-Douglas of Lockerbie and Lady Jane Margaret Mary Douglas, on 14 July 1869.¹ She died on 26 May 1930.¹
     Her married name became Johnstone-Douglas.

     Jane Rothes Maitland married Stair Hathorn-Stewart in 1846.
     From 1846, her married name became Hathorn-Stewart.

     Robert Sholto Johnstone-Douglas was born on 3 December 1871.² He was the son of Arthur Henry Johnstone-Douglas and Jane Maitland Hathorn-Stewart.² He married Bettina Grisewood, daughter of Harman Grisewood, on 19 April 1913.² He died on 10 March 1958 at age 86.²
     He was educated at Mayfield, Sussex, England^G.¹
