     Lady Isabel Ruthven is the daughter of William Ruthven, 1st Earl of Gowrie and Dorothea Stewart.2,1 She married, firstly, Sir Robert Gordon of Lochinvar, son of Sir John Gordon of Lochinvar.1 She and Sir Robert Gordon of Lochinvar were divorced in 1608.1 She married, secondly, Hugh Campbell, 1st Lord Campbell of Loudoun, son of Sir Matthew Campbell of Loudoun and Isabel Drummond, after 1608.1
     Her married name became Gordon.1 From after 1608, her married name became Campbell.1

     Sir Robert Gordon of Lochinvar was the son of Sir John Gordon of Lochinvar.2 He married Lady Isabel Ruthven, daughter of William Ruthven, 1st Earl of Gowrie and Dorothea Stewart.1 He and Lady Isabel Ruthven were divorced in 1608.1 He died in November 1628.3
     He held the office of Gentleman of the King’s Chamber.3

Archibald Ruthven, Master of Ruthven1

     Archibald Ruthven, Master of Ruthven was the son of Patrick Ruthven, 3rd Lord Ruthven and Janet Douglas.2 He died in February 1578 at Vesteras Castle, a prisoner.1
     He gained the rank of General in the Swedish service.1 He was styled as Master of Ruthven between 1566 and 1575.1 In 1574 he arrested after an alleged plot to assassinate King John III of Sweden.1
