     Alfred Ezra Sassoon was born in 1861.¹ He was the son of Sassoon David Sassoon.² He married Theresa Georgina Thornycroft, daughter of Thomas Thornycroft and Mary Francis, in 1882. He died in 1895, from tuberculosis.¹

     Theresa Georgina Thornycroft was born in 1855 at St. Pancras, London, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Thornycroft and Mary Francis.² She married Alfred Ezra Sassoon, son of Sassoon David Sassoon, in 1882. She died in 1947.¹
     From 1882, her married name became Sassoon.¹

     2nd Lt. Hamo Watts Sassoon was born in 1887 at Matfield, Brenchley, Kent, England^G.¹ He was the son of Alfred Ezra Sassoon and Theresa Georgina Thornycroft.¹ He died on 1 November 1915, from wounds received in action, on board the hospital ship S.S. Kildonan Castle.¹
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers.¹ He fought in the Gallipoli Campaign, and was wounded at Suvla Bay, losing his leg.¹

     Siegfried Loraine Sassoon was born on 8 September 1886 at Weirleigh House, Matfield, Brenchley, Kent, England^G.¹ He was the son of Alfred Ezra Sassoon and Theresa Georgina Thornycroft.¹ He married Hester Gatty in 1933.¹ He died on 1 September 1967 at age 80.¹
     He was educated at New Beacon Preparatory School, Kent, England^G.¹ He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of officer in May 1915 in the 1st Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers.¹ He wrote the book Counter-Attack & Other Poems.¹ He wrote the book The Complete Memoirs of George Sherston.¹ He wrote the book Siegfried’s Journey, published 1945.¹

     Hester Gatty married Siegfried Loraine Sassoon, son of Alfred Ezra Sassoon and Theresa Georgina Thornycroft, in 1933.¹ She died in 1973.¹
     From 1933, her married name became Sassoon.¹

     George Thornycroft Sassoon was born on 30 October 1936 at London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Siegfried Loraine Sassoon and Hester Gatty.¹ He married, firstly, Stephanie Munro in 1955.² He and Stephanie Munro were divorced in 1961.² He married, secondly, Marguerite Dicks in 1961.² He and Marguerite Dicks were divorced in 1974.² He married, thirdly, Susan Christian-Howard in 1975.² He and Susan Christian-Howard were divorced in 1985.² He married, fourthly, Alison Smeall in 1994.² He died on 8 March 2006 at age 69.¹
     He was educated at King’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He was a linguist and engineer.¹

     Horatio Townshend, 1st Viscount Townshend of Raynham was baptised on 16 December 1630.² He was the son of Sir Roger Townshend, 1st Bt. and Hon. Mary de Vere.² He married, firstly, Mary Lewkenor, daughter of Sir Edward Lewkenor and Elizabeth Russell, before 13 April 1659.² He married, secondly, Mary Ashe, daughter of Sir Joseph Ashe, 1st Bt. and Mary Wilson, on 27 November 1673.² He died circa 7 December 1687.² He was buried on 10 December 1687.²
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Townshend, of Rainham, co. Norfolk [E., 1617] in 1647/48.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk between 1656 and 1658.² He held the office of Chacenllor of State from May 1659 to December 1659.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1660.² He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk from 1661 to February 1675/76.² He was created 1st Baron Townshend of Lynn Regis, co. Norfolk [England] on 20 April 1661.² He was created 1st Viscount Townshend of Raynham, co. Norfolk [England] on 11 December 1682.²

     Philip William Dod was born on 29 July 1914.¹ He is the son of Anthony Dod and Evelyn Frances Howard.²

     Michael Henry Anthony Dod was born on 8 September 1915.¹ He is the son of Anthony Dod and Evelyn Frances Howard.²

     Geoffrey Francis Dod was born on 31 July 1921.¹ He is the son of Anthony Dod and Evelyn Frances Howard.²
     He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹
