     Sir John Byrne, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1705.¹ He was the son of Sir Daniel Byrne, 2nd Bt. and Anna Dorothea Warren.¹ He married Meriel Leicester, daughter of Sir Francis Leicester, 3rd Bt. and Frances Wilson, in 1728.¹ He died in January 1741/42 at York, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was buried on 2 February 1741/42 at Great Budworth, Cheshire, England^G.³ His will was proven (by probate) in 1742.³
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Byrne, of Timogue, Queen’s County [I., 1671] on 25 September 1715.¹ His last will was dated 6 March 1738. He held the office of Sheriff of Cheshire between February 1740 and December 1740.¹

     Clarence Edward Victor Buxton was born on 14 January 1892.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Fowell Victor Buxton, 4th Bt. and Anne Louisa Matilda O’Rorke.² He married, firstly, Mary Aline Bradshaw, daughter of Lt.-Col. Frederick Ewart Bradshaw, on 13 December 1917.¹ He and Mary Aline Bradshaw were divorced.¹ He married, secondly, Mavis Jean Bromhead, daughter of Walter Sydney Bromhead, in 1945.¹ He died on 10 October 1967 at age 75.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Field Artillery (SR.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹
