     Sir Edward Hildred Carlile, 1st Bt. was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ Sir Edward Hildred Carlile, 1st Bt. usually went by his middle name of Hildred.³ He was created 1st Baronet Carlile, of Ponsbourne, in the County of Hertford [U.K.] in 1917.

     Janet Mary Muriel Carlile was the daughter of Sir Edward Hildred Carlile, 1st Bt.² She married Captain Murray Barclay Buxton, son of Reverend Barclay Fowell Buxton and Margaret Maria Amelia Railton, on 30 June 1920.¹ She died on 21 November 1942.¹
     From 30 June 1920, her married name became Buxton.

     Ronald Carlile Buxton was born on 20 August 1923.¹ He was the son of Captain Murray Barclay Buxton and Janet Mary Muriel Carlile.² He married Phyllida Dorothy Roden Buxton, daughter of Captain Roden Henry Victor Buxton and Dorothy Alina St. John, on 20 June 1959.¹ He died on 10 January 2017 at age 93.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1943 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)² He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers.² He was chartered structural engineer.² He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leyton in 1965.¹ He lived in 2003 at Kimberley Hall, Wymondham, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Captain Roden Henry Victor Buxton was born on 17 December 1890.² He was the son of Sir Thomas Fowell Victor Buxton, 4th Bt. and Anne Louisa Matilda O’Rorke.² He married, firstly, Dorothy Alina St. John, daughter of Colonel Charles William Peter St. John, on 7 December 1917.² He married, secondly, Hilda Meadows, daughter of Charles Alfred Meadows, on 2 November 1957.² He died on 10 November 1990 at age 99.³ He was buried at Holy Trinity Churchyard, Loddon, Norfolk, England.³
     He fought in the First World War.² He was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta 3rd class.² He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.² He fought in the Second World War.² He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1942.² He lived at Smallburgh Hall, Norwich, Norfolk, England^G.²

     Phyllida Dorothy Roden Buxton was born on 9 July 1932.² She was the daughter of Captain Roden Henry Victor Buxton and Dorothy Alina St. John.² She married Ronald Carlile Buxton, son of Captain Murray Barclay Buxton and Janet Mary Muriel Carlile, on 20 June 1959.¹ She died on 11 April 2020 at age 87.³

     Peter Hildred Buxton was born on 19 June 1960.¹ He is the son of Ronald Carlile Buxton and Phyllida Dorothy Roden Buxton.² He married Eleanor Charlotte Winch, daughter of Richard Anthony Brooke Winch and Frances Winch, in 1987.¹

     Richard Anthony Brooke Winch married Frances Winch.² He died circa 2010.²
     He lived at Swannington Manor, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Eleanor Charlotte Winch is the daughter of Richard Anthony Brooke Winch and Frances Winch.^2,3 She married Peter Hildred Buxton, son of Ronald Carlile Buxton and Phyllida Dorothy Roden Buxton, in 1987.¹
     From 1987, her married name became Buxton.

     Laura Juliet Buxton was born in 1990.¹ She is the daughter of Peter Hildred Buxton and Eleanor Charlotte Winch.²

     Robert Victor Buxton was born on 22 November 1966.¹ He is the son of Ronald Carlile Buxton and Phyllida Dorothy Roden Buxton.² He married Iona Louise Spens, daughter of Michael Patrick Spens of Wormiston and Caroline Sedgwick Rough, in 1990.²
