Sir Peter Leicester, 4th Bt. was born in December 1732.1 He was the son of Sir John Byrne, 3rd Bt. and Meriel Leicester.1 He married Catherine Fleming, daughter of Sir William Fleming, 1st Bt. and Dorothy Rowlandson, on 6 July 1755.1 He died on 12 February 1770 at age 37 at Tabley, Cheshire, EnglandG.1 He was buried on 20 February 1770 at Great Budworth, Cheshire, EnglandG.1
He was given the name of Peter Byrne at birth.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Byrne, of Timogue, Queen’s County [I., 1671] in January 1741/42.1 In 1744 his name was legally changed to Peter Byrne by Act of Parliament.1 He matriculated at Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 30 May 1750.1 He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 23 June 1753 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Preston between March 1767 and November 1768.1

Catherine Fleming was the daughter of Sir William Fleming, 1st Bt. and Dorothy Rowlandson.1 She married Sir Peter Leicester, 4th Bt., son of Sir John Byrne, 3rd Bt. and Meriel Leicester, on 6 July 1755.1 She died on 8 December 1786.1 She was buried on 13 December 1786 at Great Budworth, Cheshire, EnglandG.1
