Admiral Sir Nicholas John Streynsham Hunt was born on 7 November 1930 at Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales.2 He was the son of Brigadier John Montgomerie Hunt and Elizabeth Yates.1,3 He married Meriel Eve Givan in 1966.1 He died on 25 October 2013 at age 82 at Shere, Surrey, England.2
He was appointed Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1961.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1985.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1987.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2
