He married, firstly, Lady Anne Pamela Bridgeman, daughter of Orlando Bridgeman, 5th Earl of Bradford and Hon. Margaret Cecilia Bruce, on 19 July 1939.¹ He and Lady Anne Pamela Bridgeman were divorced in 1950.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Georgiana Mather Mather-Jackson, daughter of Sir Anthony Henry Mather Mather-Jackson, 6th Bt. and Evelyn Mary Stephenson, on 4 March 1953.      He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.³ He was Captain.³ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.³ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Cowdray, of Midhurst, co. Sussex [U.K., 1910] on 5 October 1933.³ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Pearson [U.K., 1894] on 5 October 1933.³ He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Cowdray, of Cowdray, co. Sussex [U.K., 1917] on 5 October 1933.³ He fought in the Second World War, where he was severely wounded in the retreat to Dunkirk, and had his left arm amputated.³ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)³ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel between 1940 and 1941 in the Home Guard.³ He held the office of Parliamentary Private Secretary between September 1941 and December 1942, to the Under-Secretary of Air.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Sussex in 1945.³ He was Chairman of S. Pearson & Son between 1954 and 1977.

     Weetman Dickinson Pearson, 1st Viscount Cowdray was born on 15 July 1856.¹ He was the son of George Pearson and Sarah Dickinson.² He married Annie Cass, daughter of Sir John Cass and Hannah Gamble, on 22 June 1881.¹ He died on 1 May 1927 at age 70.²
     He was created 1st Baronet Pearson [U.K.] on 26 June 1894.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Colchester between 1895 and 1910.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Aberdeenshire.¹ He held the office of High Steward of Colchester.¹ He was head of S. Pearson and Son.¹ He was created 1st Baron Cowdray, of Midhurst, co. Sussex [U.K.] on 16 July 1910.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Engineering and Railway Staff Corps.¹ He gained the rank of President of the Air Board between 1916 and 1917.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1917.¹ He held the office of Lord Rector of Aberdeen University between 1917 and 1921.¹ He was created 1st Viscount Cowdray, of Cowdray, co.      Hon. Angela Pearson was born on 27 February 1910.³ She was the daughter of Weetman Harold Miller Pearson, 2nd Viscount Cowdray and Agnes Beryl Spencer-Churchill.^1,4 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. George Anthony Murray, son of Sir George Evelyn Pemberton Murray and Muriel Mildred Elizabeth Beresford-Hope, on 25 August 1930.⁵ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Robert Mordan Thorne Campbell-Preston, 12th of Ardchattan, son of Colonel Robert William Pigott Clarke Campbell-Preston of Ardchattan and Mary Augusta Margaret Nicol Thorne, on 5 June 1950.⁵ She died in 1981.³
     From 25 August 1930, her married name became Murray. She was Chairman of Westminster Press Provincial Newspapers Ltd.⁵ From 5 June 1950, her married name became Campbell-Preston.

     Lt.-Col. George Anthony Murray was born on 7 January 1907.³ He was the son of Sir George Evelyn Pemberton Murray and Muriel Mildred Elizabeth Beresford-Hope.¹ He married Hon. Angela Pearson, daughter of Weetman Harold Miller Pearson, 2nd Viscount Cowdray and Agnes Beryl Spencer-Churchill, on 25 August 1930.³ He died on 23 April 1945 at age 38 at Italy^G, killed in action.^3,4

     Lady Anne Pamela Bridgeman was born on 12 June 1913.¹ She was the daughter of Orlando Bridgeman, 5th Earl of Bradford and Hon. Margaret Cecilia Bruce.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Weetman John Churchill Pearson, 3rd Viscount Cowdray, son of Weetman Harold Miller Pearson, 2nd Viscount Cowdray and Agnes Beryl Spencer-Churchill, on 19 July 1939.¹ She and Lt.-Col. Weetman John Churchill Pearson, 3rd Viscount Cowdray were divorced in 1950.¹ She died on 21 May 2009 at age 95.²
     From 19 July 1939, her married name became Pearson. After her marriage, Lady Anne Pamela Bridgeman was styled as Viscountess Cowdray on 19 July 1939. She lived in 2003 at Broadleas, Devizes, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     Orlando Bridgeman, 5th Earl of Bradford was born on 6 October 1873.¹ He was the son of George Cecil Orlando Bridgeman, 4th Earl of Bradford and Lady Ida Frances Annabella Lumley.¹ He married Hon. Margaret Cecilia Bruce, daughter of Major Henry Campbell Bruce, 2nd Baron Aberdare of Duffryn and Constance Mary Beckett, on 21 July 1904.² He died on 21 March 1957 at age 83.³
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1896 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Scots.¹ He was private secretary to the Prime Minister, Marquess of Salisbury between 1898 and 1900.¹ He was styled as Viscount Newport between 1898 and 1915.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.⁴ He was private secretary to the Prime Minister, A. J.      Michael Orlando Weetman Pearson, 4th Viscount Cowdray was born on 17 June 1944.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. Weetman John Churchill Pearson, 3rd Viscount Cowdray and Lady Anne Pamela Bridgeman.² He married, firstly, Hannelore Ellen Erhardt, daughter of Hermann Erhardt, in 1977.¹ He and Hannelore Ellen Erhardt were divorced in 1984.¹ He married, secondly, Marina Rose Cordle, daughter of John Howard Cordle and Venetia Caroline Maynard, on 1 July 1987.¹
     He was educated at Gordonstoun School, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was a director of Theo Fennell plc.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Pearson [U.K., 1894] on 19 January 1995.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Cowdray, of Cowdray, co.      Joseph Rudyard Kipling was born on 30 December 1865 at Bombay, India.¹ He was the son of John Lockwood Kipling and Alice Macdonald.² He married Caroline Starr Balestier in 1892.² He died on 18 January 1936 at age 70 at Middlesex Hospital, Mortimer Street, London, England.¹
     He was also known as Rudyard Kipling.³

     Gerald Michael Orlando Bridgeman, 6th Earl of Bradford was born on 29 September 1911.¹ He was the son of Orlando Bridgeman, 5th Earl of Bradford and Hon. Margaret Cecilia Bruce.¹ He married Mary Willoughby Montgomery, daughter of Lt.-Col. Thomas Hassard Montgomery and Hester Frances Dames-Longworth, on 31 October 1946.¹ He died on 30 August 1981 at age 69.¹
