     Reverend Roger Bass was born on 15 April 1805.1 He was the son of Michael Thomas Bass and Sarah Hoskyns.1 He was baptised on 31 July 1805 at Austrey, Warwickshire, England.2 He married Anne Worthington, daughter of William Worthington and Martha Evans, on 17 August 1835 at Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England.1,2 He died on 8 April 1844 at age 38 at Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, without issue.1,2 He was buried on 9 April 1844.2
