     Philip H. McArdell lived at Morven, Gippsland, Victoria, Australia.

     Mary Edith Emily McArdell was the daughter of Philip H. McArdell.¹ She married Willoughby Crichton McDouall, son of John Crichton Stuart McDouall and Ellen Maria Fitzgerald, on 22 February 1875 at Milton, New Zealand.^1,2 She died in 1943.¹
     From 22 February 1875, her married name became McDouall.

     John Crichton Stuart McDouall was born in 1878.¹ He was the son of Willoughby Crichton McDouall and Mary Edith Emily McArdell.¹ He married Marguerite Lavinia Garrett, daughter of Frank Garrett, on 18 February 1914.¹ He died in 1941.¹
     He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)¹ He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.)¹ He was with the West African Medical Staff, DMSS at Sierra Leone^G.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1929.¹

     Frank Garrett lived at Highgate, London, England^G.¹

     Marguerite Lavinia Garrett was the daughter of Frank Garrett.¹ She married John Crichton Stuart McDouall, son of Willoughby Crichton McDouall and Mary Edith Emily McArdell, on 18 February 1914.¹ She died in 1950.¹
     Marguerite Lavinia Garrett also went by the nick-name of Madge.¹ From 18 February 1914, her married name became McDouall.

     Major John Crichton Stuart McDouall was born on 14 May 1920.¹ He was the son of John Crichton Stuart McDouall and Marguerite Lavinia Garrett.¹ He married Dorothy Anne Going, daughter of Reverend Claude Arthur Hedley Going, on 20 January 1945.¹ He died on 17 November 1951 at age 31.¹
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Signals.¹

     Reverend Claude Arthur Hedley Going lived at Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England^G.¹ He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹

     Dorothy Anne Going was the daughter of Reverend Claude Arthur Hedley Going.¹ She married, firstly, Major John Crichton Stuart McDouall, son of John Crichton Stuart McDouall and Marguerite Lavinia Garrett, on 20 January 1945.¹ She married, secondly, Major John Hewgill Anderson Bryden, son of Colonel Ronald Anderson Bryden, on 2 February 1954.¹ She died on 1 February 2016.²
     From 20 January 1945, her married name became McDouall. From 2 February 1954, her married name became Bryden.¹ She lived in 2003 at 61 Swanston Avenue, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹
