Sir Henry Slingsby, 1st Bt. 
He was educated at Queens’ College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was created 1st Baronet Slingsby, of Scriven, co. York [N.S.] on 2 March 1638. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Knaresborough in 1640.1 He wrote the book Diary of Sir Henry Slingsby, published 1836.1
