     Colonel Robert John Augustine Hornby was the son of Robert Hornby.¹ He married Barbara Jean Bruce, daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Alan Cathcart Fairlie Bruce and Barbara Clarributt Skinner, on 27 February 1941.¹ He died in June 2015.²
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the The East Surrey Regiment.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Institute of Public Relations (F.I.P.R.)¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Vivien Sheena Hornby was born on 18 November 1942.¹ She is the daughter of Colonel Robert John Augustine Hornby and Barbara Jean Bruce.¹ She married Hon. Edward Frederic Northcote, son of Henry Stafford Northcote, 3rd Earl of Iddesleigh and Elizabeth Susan Angela Mary Lowndes, on 29 June 1963.¹ She and Hon. Edward Frederic Northcote were divorced in 1980.¹
