John Stafford Northcote and Hilda Cardew Farrar.² He married Elizabeth Susan Angela Mary Lowndes, daughter of Frederic Sawrey Archibald Lowndes and Marie Adelaide Elizabeth Rayner Belloc, on 14 May 1930.¹ He died on 16 February 1970 at age 68.¹
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1923 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1927 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Northcote, of Hayne, co. Devon [E., 1641] on 26 March 1927.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Iddesleigh [U.K., 1885] on 26 March 1927.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Saint Cyres of Newton Saint Cyres, co. Devon [U.K., 1885] on 26 March 1927.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Welsh Guards.¹ He was a director of General Life Assurance.¹

     Stafford Henry Northcote, 1st Earl of Iddesleigh was born on 27 October 1818.¹ He was the son of Henry Stafford Northcote and Agnes Mary Cockburn.² He married Cecilia Frances Farrer, daughter of Thomas Farrer and Cecilia Willis, on 5 August 1843.¹ He died on 12 January 1887 at age 68.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was Private Secretary to the President of the Board of Trade between 1843 and 1845.¹ He was Legal Secretary of the Board of Trade in 1847.¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1847 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1851.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Northcote, of Hayne, co.      Lt.-Col. Hon. Richard Martin Peter Preston was born on 12 August 1884.¹ He was the son of Jenico William Joseph Preston, 14th Viscount Gormanston and Georgina Jane Connelan.¹ He married, firstly, Belle Hamblin, daughter of Frederick Harcourt Hamblin, on 23 July 1908.¹ He married, secondly, Edith Sheilah de Crecy Steel, daughter of Reginald de Crecy Steel, on 4 September 1943.² He died on 20 May 1965 at age 80.¹
     He was educated at Oratory School, Reading, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917 and bar.¹ He was president of the Institute of Metals between 1940 and 1942.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Belle Hamblin was the daughter of Frederick Harcourt Hamblin.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Hon. Richard Martin Peter Preston, son of Jenico William Joseph Preston, 14th Viscount Gormanston and Georgina Jane Connelan, on 23 July 1908.¹ She died on 29 November 1936.¹
     Her married name became Preston.

     Edith Sheilah de Crecy Steel was the daughter of Reginald de Crecy Steel.² She married, firstly, Lt.-Cdr. John Hay Forbes, son of Captain Charles Hay Forbes and Emily Fawcus Carrall, on 7 June 1930.² She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Hon. Richard Martin Peter Preston, son of Jenico William Joseph Preston, 14th Viscount Gormanston and Georgina Jane Connelan, on 4 September 1943.¹ She died on 7 January 1951.¹
     From 7 June 1930, her married name became Forbes. From 4 September 1943, her married name became Preston.

     Lt.-Cdr. John Hay Forbes was born on 28 August 1906.² He was the son of Captain Charles Hay Forbes and Emily Fawcus Carrall.² He married Edith Sheilah de Crecy Steel, daughter of Reginald de Crecy Steel, on 7 June 1930.¹ He died on 2 August 1940 at age 33, on active service.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Reginald de Crecy Steel lived at Drynham, Weybridge, Staffordshire, England^G.

     Hubert Richard Preston was born on 12 October 1945.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Richard Martin Peter Preston and Edith Sheilah de Crecy Steel.¹ He died on 5 May 1989 at age 43.¹

     Jenico Richard Anthony Preston was born on 27 January 1910.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Richard Martin Peter Preston and Belle Hamblin.¹ He married Hanna Maria Krassowska, daughter of Josef Krassowski and Baroness Jadwiga Golez, on 21 September 1946.¹ He died on 18 March 1973 at age 63, without issue.¹
