     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1661.¹

     She lived at St. James’, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ From 2 May 1699, her married name became Browne.¹

     Prudence Thorold was the daughter of Charles Thorold and Anne Clarke.¹ She married Sir George Browne, 4th Bt., son of Sir John Browne, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bradley, on 5 February 1721/22 at Gray’s Inn Chapel, London, England^G.¹ She died on 19 December 1725 at Covent Gardens, London, England^G.¹ She was buried at St. Andrew’s Church, Undershaft, London, England^G.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) on 3 March 1725.¹
     From 5 February 1721/22, her married name became Browne.¹

     Charles Thorold is the son of Thomas Thorold and Rebecca Green.² He married, firstly, Anne Wheat, daughter of William Wheat.³ He married, secondly, Anne Clarke, daughter of George Clarke.³
     He held the office of Sheriff and Alderman of the City of London.³ He lived at Harmeston, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹

     Anne Clarke is the daughter of George Clarke.¹ She married Charles Thorold, son of Thomas Thorold and Rebecca Green.²
     Her married name became Thorold.¹

     Sir John Browne, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir George Browne, 4th Bt. and Gertrude Morley.¹ He died on 21 January 1775 at Sunning, Berkshire, England^G, without issue, probably unmarried.¹ His will (dated 7 January 1775) was proven (by probate) on 2 March 1775, leaving everything to his servamt, Mary Smyth.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Browne, of Caversham, co. Oxford [E., 1665] on 20 February 1729/30.¹
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹
