     Robert Crawfurd was born circa 1482.2 He was the son of Malcolm Crawford and Marion Crichton.1,2 He married Margaret Sempill, daughter of Thomas Sempill and Elizabeth Ross, on 11 March 1502.2,3 He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, England, killed in action.3
     He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.3
