Sir Tatton Sykes, 5th Bt.1 
He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the East Riding, Yorkshire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the East Riding, Yorkshire.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Sykes, of Sledmere, co. Yorks [G.B., 1783] on 21 March 1863.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of the East Riding, Yorkshire in 1869.2 On 23 May 1911 he demolished the orangery at Sledmere (which burnt down but which he rebuilt as before) with all the estate flowers pulled up.2
