William Herbert, 1st Baron Powis1 

William Herbert, 1st Baron Powis was born from 1573 to 1574.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Herbert and Mary Stanley.1 He married Lady Eleanor Percy, daughter of Henry Percy, 2nd Earl of Northumberland and Katherine Neville, before 1600.1 He died on 7 March 1655/56.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Montgomery from 1597 to 1598.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1603.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Montgomery between 1604 and 1611.1 He held the office of Member of the Council for Wales in 1608.1 He held the office of Sheriff for Montgomeryshire in 1613.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Montgomery in 1614.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Montgomery from 1621 to 1622.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Montgomery between 1624 and 1629.1 He was created 1st Baron Powis, of Powis, co. Montgomery [England] on 2 April 1629.1 He held the office of Constable of Radnor Castle in 1631.1 He held the office of Steward of Radnor in 1631.1 He held the office of Member of the Council for Wales in 1633.1 In 1644 he held Powis Castle for King Charles I until it fell to Parliament.1

Lt.-Col. Hew Angus Christopher Blair-Imrie1

He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1937 in the 4th/5th Battalion, Black Watch.2 He fought in the Second World War. He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Black Watch, attached to the Gordon Highlanders.1 He fought in the Battle of El Alamein in 1942, where he was wounded.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1942.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1
