     Walter Garden Duff was born on 24 November 1863 at Turriff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.² He was the son of Garden William Duff, 9th of Hatton and Jean Cook.¹ He married Elizabeth Anne Leith, daughter of Major James Leith, V.C. and Isabella Shaw, on 5 August 1891.¹ He died on 10 May 1945 at age 81 at Dundee, Angus, Scotland.^3,2

     Elizabeth Anne Leith was the daughter of Major James Leith, V.C. and Isabella Shaw.² She married Walter Garden Duff, son of Garden William Duff, 9th of Hatton and Jean Cook, on 5 August 1891.¹ She died in 1943.²
     From 5 August 1891, her married name became Duff.¹

     Mary Elizabeth Duff was born on 14 December 1864 at Turriff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Garden William Duff, 9th of Hatton and Jean Cook.¹ She died circa 1947.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) on 10 December 1947 at Fife, Scotland.²

     Bertha Hope Duff was born on 29 June 1866 at Turriff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Garden William Duff, 9th of Hatton and Jean Cook.¹ She married Alan Colquhoun Duff, son of Lt.-Col. James Duff of Knockleith and Jane Bracken Dunlop, on 23 August 1888.¹ She died on 6 March 1897 at age 30.¹

     Alan Colquhoun Duff was born on 20 November 1860 at Dunlugas, Banffshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Duff of Knockleith and Jane Bracken Dunlop.¹ He married Bertha Hope Duff, daughter of Garden William Duff, 9th of Hatton and Jean Cook, on 23 August 1888.¹ He died on 5 January 1897 at age 36 at Jubbulpore, India^G.¹
     He was educated at Fettes College, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.² He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.² He was Deputy Commissioner of Jubbulpore between 1893 and 1897.²

     George William Duff-Assheton-Smith was born on 17 May 1848.² He was the son of Robert George Duff and Mary Astley.² He married Alice Laura Jones, daughter of Colin Stanhope Jones, on 19 April 1888.² He died on 22 November 1904 at age 56.²
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He was given the name of George William Duff at birth.² In 1859 his name was legally changed to George William Duff-Assheton-Smith by Royal Licence.³ He held the office of High Sheriff of Angelsey in 1872.³ He held the office of High Sheriff of Carnarvonshire in 1878.³ He lived at Vaynol, Caernarvonshire, Wales^G.¹

     Alice Laura Jones was the daughter of Colin Stanhope Jones.¹ She married, firstly, George William Duff-Assheton-Smith, son of Robert George Duff and Mary Astley, on 19 April 1888.² She married Brigadier George Lewis Holdsworth on 19 February 1907.³ She died on 22 February 1940.²
     From 19 April 1888, her married name became Duff-Assheton-Smith.² From 19 February 1907, her married name became Holdsworth.³

     Henry Assheton Duff was born on 14 September 1862.¹ He was the son of Robert George Duff and Mary Astley.¹ He married Emily Alice Pauline Morgan, daughter of Francis Frederick Richard Mansel Morgan, on 18 February 1896.¹ He died on 30 January 1939 at age 76.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Carnarvonshire.²

     Emily Alice Pauline Morgan was the daughter of Francis Frederick Richard Mansel Morgan.² She married Henry Assheton Duff, son of Robert George Duff and Mary Astley, on 18 February 1896.¹ She died on 9 March 1950.¹
     From 18 February 1896, her married name became Duff.¹
