     Lt.-Col. James Duff of Knockleith was born on 22 May 1820.² He was the son of Garden Duff, 8th of Hatton and Louisa Dunbar.² He married Jane Bracken Dunlop, daughter of Alan Colquhoun Dunlop, in April 1855.² He died in 1898.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 74th Regiment.³ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Banff, Moray and Nairn Militia.³ He lived at Knockleith, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.³

     Jane Bracken Dunlop is the daughter of Alan Colquhoun Dunlop.¹ She married Lt.-Col. James Duff of Knockleith, son of Garden Duff, 8th of Hatton and Louisa Dunbar, in April 1855.¹
     From April 1855, her married name became Duff.¹

     Mary Clementina Duff was born circa 1857.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. James Duff of Knockleith and Jane Bracken Dunlop.¹ She died circa 1867.¹

     Reverend Garden Llanoe Duff was born on 9 May 1858 at Turriff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Duff of Knockleith and Jane Bracken Dunlop.¹ He married Elizabeth Dunlop, daughter of Andrew Anderson Dunlop of Keppoch, younger, on 7 October 1885.¹ He died on 13 November 1938 at age 80 at Orpington, Kent, England^G.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1884 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was the Rector between 1888 and 1923 at St. Congan, Turriff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.² He held the office of Canon of Aberdeen between 1922 and 1923.²

     Elizabeth Dunlop was the daughter of Andrew Anderson Dunlop of Keppoch, younger.² She married Reverend Garden Llanoe Duff, son of Lt.-Col. James Duff of Knockleith and Jane Bracken Dunlop, on 7 October 1885.¹ She died on 14 July 1944.³
     From 7 October 1885, her married name became Duff.¹

     Garden Andrew Duff was born on 27 February 1886.¹ He was the son of Reverend Garden Llanoe Duff and Elizabeth Dunlop.² He died on 16 July 1906 at age 20 at India^G.¹
     He was in the army.³

     Enid Blackburn Duff was born on 3 October 1889.² She was the daughter of Reverend Garden Llanoe Duff and Elizabeth Dunlop.^1,3 She married Reverend Edward Archibald Forbes, son of George Edward Forbes and Louisa Lillias Trotter, on 18 January 1922.³ She died in 1971.¹
     From 22 January 1922, her married name became Forbes.¹

     Reverend Edward Archibald Forbes was born on 2 June 1869.¹ He was the son of George Edward Forbes and Louisa Lillias Trotter.² He married Enid Blackburn Duff, daughter of Reverend Garden Llanoe Duff and Elizabeth Dunlop, on 18 January 1922.¹ He died on 11 March 1929 at age 59.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was the Rector at St. Congan’s, Turriff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹ He gained the rank of Chaplain to the Forces between 1915 and 1916.¹ He held the office of Canon of St. Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow.¹
