Geoffrey Arthur George Brooke was born on 25 April 1920.¹ He was the son of Captain John Brooke and Margaret Winifred Arnold Tothill.¹ He married Venetia Mabel Cornwallis, daughter of Captain Hon. Oswald Wykeham Cornwallis and Hon. Venetia Jane Digby, on 25 October 1956.¹ He died on 6 January 2009 at age 88.²
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Midshipman in 1934 in the Royal Navy.¹ He fought in the Second World War, including serving the battleship H.M.S Prince of Wales when it was sunk.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1942.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)³ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in 1946.¹ In 1948 he represented Great Britiain in the modern penthalon at the London Olympics.¹ He retired from the military in 1958.¹ He was an advertising executive between 1958 and 1985.¹ He wrote the book Alarm Starboard!, published 1982.¹ He wrote the book Singapore’s Dunkirk, published 1989.¹ He lived at Beech House, Handcross Road, Balcombe, Haywards Heath, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Venetia Mabel Cornwallis was born on 8 November 1928.² She is the daughter of Captain Hon. Oswald Wykeham Cornwallis and Hon. Venetia Jane Digby.^1,2 She married Lt.-Cdr. Geoffrey Arthur George Brooke, son of Captain John Brooke and Margaret Winifred Arnold Tothill, on 25 October 1956.¹
     From 25 October 1956, her married name became Brooke.¹

     Caroline Jane Brooke was born on 26 August 1957.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Geoffrey Arthur George Brooke and Venetia Mabel Cornwallis.¹ She married Barry Rudolf in 1989.¹ She and Barry Rudolf were divorced in 1992.¹
     She was educated at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹ From 1989, her married name became Rudolf.¹ She lived in 2003 at 22 Fresh Pond Lane, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Barry Rudolf married Caroline Jane Brooke, daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Geoffrey Arthur George Brooke and Venetia Mabel Cornwallis, in 1989.¹ He and Caroline Jane Brooke were divorced in 1992.¹
     He lived at Sante Fe, New Mexico, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Venetia Anne Margaret Brooke was born on 6 February 1959.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Geoffrey Arthur George Brooke and Venetia Mabel Cornwallis.¹ She married David John Elliot Sewell, son of John Donald Sewell and Sheila Mary Collett, on 2 October 1999.¹
     She was a director of Dorking Kindersely.¹ From 2 October 1999, her married name became Sewell.¹ She lived in 2003 at 12 Shandon Road, London, England^G.¹

     David John Elliot Sewell was born on 9 June 1956.² He is the son of John Donald Sewell and Sheila Mary Collett.² He married Venetia Anne Margaret Brooke, daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Geoffrey Arthur George Brooke and Venetia Mabel Cornwallis, on 2 October 1999.¹

     Georgina Emily Rose Brooke was born on 10 November 1963.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Geoffrey Arthur George Brooke and Venetia Mabel Cornwallis.¹ She married, firstly, Lanto Millington Synge, son of John Samuel Synge and Frances Margaret Arnold, in 1986.¹ She and Lanto Millington Synge were divorced in 1989.¹ She married, secondly, Michael Paul Boulter Bochmann, son of Paul Martin Bochmann, in 1993.¹
