     Josiah Chester Adams was born on 19 June 1830 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ He was the son of George Adams and Polly Young.¹ He married Diana McCoy, daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian, on 19 September 1858 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He died on 2 February 1907 at age 76 at Norfolk Island^G.¹

     Polly Young was born circa 1794 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Young and Toofaiti (?)¹ She married George Adams, son of John Adams and Teio (?), on 1 April 1827 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She died on 17 December 1843 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹
     From 1 April 1827, her married name became Adams.²

     Jonathan James Crawley married, firstly, Shirley Ross, daughter of S/Ldr. Edward J. L. Ross, before 1977.¹

     Sir George Warrender of Lochend, 1st Bt. was born circa 1658.¹ He was the son of George Warrender and Margaret Cunninghame.¹ He married, secondly, Grizel Blair, daughter of Hugh Blair.¹ He married, firstly, Margaret Lawrie before 1680.¹ He died on 4 March 1721/22 at London, England^G.¹ He was buried at Bunhill Fields, London, England^G.¹
     He was a merchant, and dealer in foreign trade at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He held the office of Lord Provost of Edinburgh in 1707.¹ He held the office of Lord Provost of Edinburgh in 1714.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Edinburgh between 1715 and 1722.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Warrender, of Lochend, co. Haddington [Great Britain] on 2 June 1715.¹

     Margaret Lawrie married Sir George Warrender of Lochend, 1st Bt., son of George Warrender and Margaret Cunninghame, before 1680.¹
     From before 1680, her married name became Warrender.¹

     Grizel Blair was the daughter of Hugh Blair.¹ She married Sir George Warrender of Lochend, 1st Bt., son of George Warrender and Margaret Cunninghame.¹
     Her married name became Warrender.¹

     Hugh Blair was a merchant at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹

     Sir John Warrender of Lochend, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1686.¹ He was the son of Sir George Warrender of Lochend, 1st Bt. and Margaret Lawrie.¹ He married Henrietta Johnston, daughter of Sir Patrick Johnston, in 1720.¹ He died on 18 January 1772.¹
     In 1715 he supported the Government during the Uprising, and received estates as a result.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Warrender, of Lochend, co. Haddington [G.B., 1715] on 4 March 1721/22.¹
     He had four other daughters.²
