     Robert MacPhail was born circa 1871 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ He died in 1928 at Norfolk Island^G.¹

     Maria Annabella Bataille was born on 21 June 1884 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She is the daughter of Albert Victor Bataille and Eliza Sabia Adams.¹

     Ruth Mary Nobbs was born on 10 May 1932.² She is the daughter of Richard Cyril Nobbs and Joyce Josephine MacPhail.¹

     Emmeline Nobbs was born on 24 July 1906 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Francis Hunn Nobbs and Ruth Christian.¹ She died on 15 July 1994 at age 87.²

     Oswell Nobbs was born on 17 November 1907 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of Francis Hunn Nobbs and Ruth Christian.¹ He married Margaret Melissa Quintal, daughter of Albert Edward C. Quintal and Dorothy Buffett, on 17 March 1934 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He died on 24 July 1965 at age 57 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.^2,3
     He gained the rank of Corporal in the Norfolk Island Infantry Detachment.³ He fought in the Second World War.³

     Margaret Melissa Quintal was born on 17 July 1909 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Albert Edward C. Quintal and Dorothy Buffett.¹ She married Oswell Nobbs, son of Francis Hunn Nobbs and Ruth Christian, on 17 March 1934 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She died in 1963.¹
     From 17 March 1934, her married name became Nobbs.¹

     Albert Edward C. Quintal was born on 19 July 1875 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of Edward Quintal and Angeline Ophelia McCoy.¹ He married Dorothy Buffett, daughter of Joseph Allen McCleave Buffett and Kathleen Laura Nobbs, on 23 November 1896 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He died in 1926.¹
     Albert Edward C. Quintal also went by the nick-name of Barty.¹

     Angeline Ophelia McCoy was born on 3 July 1854 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Philip McCoy and Sarah Quintal.¹ She married Edward Quintal, son of Arthur Quintal and Martha Quintal, on 16 January 1873 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She died on 31 October 1914 at age 60 at Norfolk Island^G.¹
     From 16 January 1873, her married name became Quintal.¹

     Dorothy Buffett was born on 22 April 1881 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Allen McCleave Buffett and Kathleen Laura Nobbs.¹ She married Albert Edward C. Quintal, son of Edward Quintal and Angeline Ophelia McCoy, on 23 November 1896 at Norfolk Island^G.¹
     From 23 November 1896, her married name became Quintal.¹
