     Ewan Curghey stood by Illiam Dhone in his struggle for liberty and justice. He was one of the members of the House of Keys who was removed by the Earl during Illiam Dhone’s trial. The Earl confiscated his property, but on petition of Illiam Dhone’s son to King Charles II, he commanded that all the confiscated properties in the Island should be restored to their owners.1
