     Edward Young was born circa 1796 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ He was the son of Edward Young and Mauatua (?)¹ He died on 6 November 1831 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹
     He accompanied Thursday October Christian to welcome Captain Pipon and the Tagus. Pipon described him as robust, tall, with a natural easy manner.
When he saw a terrier on deck, he is the one who said, ‘I know that is a dog …I have read of such things.²‘

     Moses Young was born on 30 September 1829 at Pitcairn Island^G.² He is the son of Edward Young and Polly Christian.¹ He married Albina McCoy, daughter of Daniel McCoy and Sarah Quintal, on 9 July 1848 at Pitcairn Island^G.² He died on 14 July 1909 at age 79 at Pitcairn Island^G.²
     He and Albina McCoy emigrated on 8 June 1856; on board the transport Morayshire.³ He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island between 1865 and 1866.⁴ He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island in 1869.⁴ He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island in 1875.⁴ He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island in 1881.⁴ He was among the first wave of returnees from Norfolk in 1859. On Sundays, on Pitcairn, the first wave returnees met for services at his house, each of the men alternating in conducting the services. It was in strict accordance with Church of England liturgy. Moses, who had learned to read music from Hugh Carleton, a visitor, owned both a fife and a fiddle. He decided to start a class in music for all who cared to come, and taught the basics of both instruments, and how to play a number of standard church tunes.²

     Priscilla Pitcairn Quintal was born on 19 April 1856 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of James Quintal and Priscilla Christian.¹ She died on 5 April 1868 at age 11 at Norfolk Island^G.¹

     John Matthew Patteson Quintal was born on 22 July 1857 at Norfolk Island^G.² He is the son of James Quintal and Priscilla Christian.¹ He married Mary Louisa Quintal, daughter of William Quintal and Maria Christian, on 15 December 1874 at Norfolk Island^G.² He died on 1 March 1926 at age 68 at Norfolk Island^G.²

     James Gorham Bell Quintal was born on 29 April 1859 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of James Quintal and Priscilla Christian.¹ He died on 12 September 1861 at age 2 at Norfolk Island^G.¹

     James Thomas Gorham Quintal was born on 9 September 1862 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of James Quintal and Priscilla Christian.¹ He died on 20 March 1863 at Norfolk Island^G.¹

     James Gorham Francis Quintal was born on 3 April 1865 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of James Quintal and Priscilla Christian.¹ He died on 29 April 1868 at age 3 at Norfolk Island^G.¹

     Priscilla Pitcairn Quintal was born on 1 April 1868 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of James Quintal and Priscilla Christian.¹ She died on 13 July 1878 at age 10 at Norfolk Island^G.¹

     James Robert Quintal was born on 28 May 1871 at Norfolk Island^G.² He is the son of James Quintal and Priscilla Christian.¹ He married Margaret Elizabeth Clara Quintal, daughter of Joseph Quintal and Martha Evans, on 31 August 1892 at Norfolk Island^G.²
     He was a gold miner.²

     Nathan Sherman Quintal was born on 15 August 1874 at Norfolk Island^G.² He is the son of James Quintal and Priscilla Christian.¹ He married Estelle Helena Bataille, daughter of Albert Victor Bataille and Eliza Sabia Adams, on 3 May 1899 at Norfolk Island^G.² He died on 21 July 1945 at age 70 at Norfolk Island^G.²
     He was a whaler and farmer.² Nathan Sherman Quintal also went by the nick-name of Shunna.²
