     William Alfred Young was born on 4 April 1863 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian.¹ He married Mercy Amelia Lawrence Young, daughter of Moses Young and Albina McCoy, on 23 February 1882 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ He died on 1 July 1911 at age 48.¹
     He held the office of President of the Council of Pitcairn Island in 1897.² He held the office of President of the Council of Pitcairn Island in 1904.² He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island in 1908.²

     Mercy Amelia Lawrence Young was born on 7 February 1858 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Moses Young and Albina McCoy.¹ She married William Alfred Young, son of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian, on 23 February 1882 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She died on 30 November 1934 at age 76 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹
     In 1859 she was among the first wave of returnees from Norfolk to Pitcairn.¹

     Hugh Young was born on 8 February 1885 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ He was the son of William Alfred Young and Mercy Amelia Lawrence Young.¹ He died on 9 February 1885 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹
     Hugh was a twin.¹

     Ida Elsie Young was born on 8 February 1885 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of William Alfred Young and Mercy Amelia Lawrence Young.¹ She died on 9 April 1963 at age 78.¹ She was buried at Tahiti^G.¹
     Ida was a twin.¹

     Arthur Lequerre is the son of unknown Lequerre and Ida Elsie Young.¹

     Coco Lequerre is the daughter of Arthur Lequerre and Ave (?)¹

     Harold Adams was born on 8 August 1897 at Norfolk Island^G.¹
     His parents were not noted in the island register, which called him simply
by his first name.¹
