     Major Basil Charles Robert Loder was born on 14 July 1885.² He is the son of Lt.-Col. Alfred Basil Loder and Annie Katherine Crosse.³ He married Katie Blanche Davies, daughter of W. G. Davies, on 8 January 1908.² He died on 6 July 1934 at age 48.²
     He gained the rank of Major in the Scots Guards.⁴ He gained the rank of Major in the 4th Battalion, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment.²

     Harold Henry Durell Christian was born in 1869.² He was the son of George Bellamy Christian and Alice Owen Smith.³ He married Daisy Nicholas, daughter of Montagu Nicholas.² He died on 27 July 1946 at Harare, Zimbabwe^G.³
     He lived at Meadow Farms, Arcturus, Zimbabwe^G.²

     Robert Bell Barrett was born in 1856 at Kenton Hall, Gosforth, Northumberland, England^G.² He was the son of Captain Samuel Goodin Barrett and Susanna Maria Bell.² He married Frances Madeleine Robinson, daughter of William Robinson and Elizabeth Allen, on 12 January 1893.^2,3 He died in 1938 at London, England^G.²
     He was educated at Rossall School, Fleetwood, Lancashire, England^G.³ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 3rd Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers.³ He was head agent for the Yorkshire and Westmorland estates of Lord Hothfield in 1882.³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Westmorland.¹ He lived at Skipton Castle, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Owen Smith Christian was born in 1855 at Kragga Kama, Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹ He was the son of Henry Bailey Christian and Mary Anne Smith.¹ He married Constance Mary Kingsmill, daughter of William Kingsmill.² He died on 16 May 1932 at Rondebosch, Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.²

     Constance Mary Kingsmill was born before 1873 at Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹ She was the daughter of William Kingsmill.¹ She married Owen Smith Christian, son of Henry Bailey Christian and Mary Anne Smith.³
     Her married name became Christian.³

     William Kingsmill lived at Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa^G.²

     Jack Owen Christian was born on 20 July 1890 at Kragga Kama, Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹ He is the son of Owen Smith Christian and Constance Mary Kingsmill.¹ He married Anne Gwendoline Kerstina Green.²
     He lived in 1969 at 3 Sunningdale, Western Road, Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa^G.²

     Anne Gwendoline Kerstina Green was born on 9 February 1894.¹ She married Jack Owen Christian, son of Owen Smith Christian and Constance Mary Kingsmill.²
     Her married name became Christian.²

     Owen Michael Kingsmill Christian was born on 23 March 1919.² He was the son of Jack Owen Christian and Anne Gwendoline Kerstina Green.² He married Joan Josephine O’Neil, daughter of John Louis O’Neil and Margaret Jacoba Kruger, on 7 August 1949.² He died at Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa^G.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Prince Alfred’s Guard, South African Active Citizen Force.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945, in Italy.¹

     Lieutenant Jack Laurence Kingsmill Christian was born on 17 May 1922.¹ He was the son of Jack Owen Christian and Anne Gwendoline Kerstina Green.¹ He died on 23 July 1944 at age 22 at Meleto, Tuscany, Italy^G, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the Cape Corps.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the King’s Liverpool Regiment.² He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1944.²
