Hon. Frieda Lewis was born on 28 June 1897.1 She was the daughter of Frederick William Lewis, 1st Baron Essendon and Daisy Ellen Harrison.3 She married, firstly, Ian Patrick Robert Napier, son of Henry Melville Napier, on 28 February 1927.1 She and Ian Patrick Robert Napier were divorced in 1940.1 She married, secondly, Cecil Warde Mason, son of Thomas Alexander Mason, on 15 February 1940.1 She and Cecil Warde Mason were divorced in 1947.1
From 28 February 1927, her married name became Napier.1 From 15 February 1940, her married name became Mason.1

He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Lewis, of Essenden, co. Hertford [U.K., 1918] on 24 June 1944.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Essendon [U.K., 1932] on 24 June 1944.3 On his death, his titles became extinct.2
