Michael Grace was the son of Oliver Grace and Elizabeth Bryan.3,4 He married Mary Galwey, daughter of John Galwey and Elizabeth Meade, in July 1703.1 He died on 19 February 1760.1
He lived at Gracefield, County Laois, IrelandG.1 He inherited the undivised estates of the Sheffield family in the counties of Suffolk, Middlesex and York.5

Colonel Richard Townsend1,2 
He gained the rank of Officer in the Parliamentary Army in the Civil War.3 In 1646 he was present at the surrender of Pendennis Castle, Cornwall.3 He fought in the Battle of Knocknoness, County Cork on 3 April 1648, where he commanded the main body of the Army under Lord Inchiquin.3 He handed the keys of Cork to Oliver Cromwell at Dungarvan after the Commonwealth was proclaimed.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Baltimore in 1661.3 He was commander of the a troop of Carbery Militia, at the instance of Lord Orrery in 1666.3 In 1666 he acquired Castle Townsend.3 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Cork in 1671.1 He lived at Castle Townsend, County Cork, IrelandG.1
