     Thomazine Dowdall was the daughter of Edward Dowdall.¹ She married Sir Richard Barnewall, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Patrick Barnewall, 1st Bt. and Cecilia Fleming, in 1621.¹ She died in 1628, without male issue.¹
     From 1621, her married name became Barnewall.¹

     Edward Dowdall lived at Athlumney, County Meath, Ireland^G.¹

     Sir Patrick Barnewall, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1630.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Barnewall, 2nd Bt. and Julia Lettice Aylmer.¹ He married Frances Butler, daughter of Colonel Hon. Richard Butler and Lady Frances Tuchet.¹ He died between 1695 and 1702.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in 1702.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Barnewall, of Crickstown, co. Meath [I., 1623] on 6 July 1679.¹ He was confirmed in the estate of Crickstown.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Meath [Ireland] in 1680.² He received a pension of £150 per year from King Charles II. Circa 1689 he received a grant of 1261 acres in County Galway.^1,2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Meath [Ireland] in 1689.¹ He lived at Newcastle, County Meath, Ireland^G.¹ His last will was dated 26 March 1695.

     Frances Butler was the daughter of Colonel Hon. Richard Butler and Lady Frances Tuchet.¹ She married Sir Patrick Barnewall, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Richard Barnewall, 2nd Bt. and Julia Lettice Aylmer.¹ She died circa January 1709.¹ She was buried on 1 February 1709 at St. James’ Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹
     Her married name became Barnewall.¹

     Colonel Hon. Richard Butler was the son of Thomas Butler, Viscount Thurles and Elizabeth Poyntz.³ He married Lady Frances Tuchet, daughter of Mervyn Tuchet, 2nd Earl of Castlehaven and Elizabeth Barnham.³ He died in 1701.³
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in the Irish Army.³ He held the office of Governor of COunty Wexford.³ He lived at Kilcash, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.⁴ He lived at Garryricken, County Kilkenny, Ireland^G.³ In 1641 he joined the 1641 Uprising.³

     Sir George Barnewall, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir Patrick Barnewall, 3rd Bt. and Frances Butler.¹ He died on 22 October 1735, unmarried and without issue.¹ His will was proven (by probate) on 29 January 1735/36.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Barnewall, of Crickstown, co. Meath [I., 1623] before 1702.¹ His last will was dated 18 August 1735.

     Ellinor Barnewall is the daughter of Sir Patrick Barnewall, 3rd Bt. and Frances Butler.¹ She married Hugh Montgomery, 4th Earl of Mount Alexander, son of Henry Montgomery, 3rd Earl of Mount Alexander and Mary St. Lawrence, in 1703.²
     She was also known as Ellen.³ From 1703, her married name became Montgomery.²

     John Barnewall is the son of Sir Patrick Barnewall, 1st Bt. and Cecilia Fleming.² He married Anne Barnewall, daughter of James Barnewall.²
     He lived at Athronan, Ireland^G.¹

     James Barnewall was the son of John Barnewall and Anne Barnewall.^1,2 He married Margaret Legge, daughter of Colonel John Legge.² He died in 1692.¹
     He lived at Roskeen, County Laois, Ireland^G.¹

     Barnaby Barnewall is the son of James Barnewall and Margaret Legge.^1,2 He married Jane Geoghegan, daughter of Kedagh Geoghegan.¹
     He lived at Ballyard, Ireland^G.¹
     He had two other sons and a daughter.²
