He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.3 He was appointed Knight on 16 February 1711/12.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Kerry between 1713 and 1758.1 He was created 1st Baron Branden, of Brandon, co. Kerry [Ireland] on 16 September 1758.1

John Crosbie, 2nd Earl of Glandore1 
John Crosbie, 2nd Earl of Glandore was born on 25 May 1753.3 He was the son of William Crosbie, 1st Earl of Glandore and Lady Theodosia Bligh.1 He married Hon. Diana Sackville, daughter of George Sackville, 1st Viscount Sackville and Diana Sambrooke, on 26 November 1777 at St. James’s, London, EnglandG, by the Archbishop of Canterbury.3 He died on 23 October 1815 at age 62, without issue.1 He was also reported to have died on 20 April 1815.3
He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1771 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)3 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1772 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)3 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Glandore [I., 1776] on 11 April 1781.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Crosbie of Ardfert, co. Kerry [I., 1771] on 11 April 1781.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Branden, of Brandon, co. Kerry [I., 1758] on 11 April 1781.1 He held the office of Master of the Rolls.3 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland]3 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)3
On his death, the Earldom of Glandore and Viscountancy Crosbie of Ardfert became extinct.1

William Crosbie, 4th Baron Branden1 
He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1796 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was the Rector at Castle Island, County Kerry, IrelandG.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Branden, of Brandon, co. Kerry [I., 1758] on 23 October 1815.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1816 with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1
On his death, the Barony of Branden became extinct.1
The Creevy Papers record that “Lord Branden, who is a divine as well as a peer, got possession of a correspondence between his lady and Mr. Secretary Lamb [Lord Melbourne] which left no doubt to him or anyone else, as to the nature of the conneciton between these young people; so he writes a letter to the lady announcing his discovery, but he adds if she will exert her interest with Mr. Lamb to procure him a Bishopric, he will overlook her pffence, and restore her the letters; to which my lady replies, she shall neither degrade herself nor Mr. Lamb by making any such application, but that she is very grateful to my lord for the letter he has written her, which she shall put immediately into Mr. Lamb’s possession.”1
