     Rev. Dr. William Boyd of Myrton was the son of Reverend Andrew Boyd and Margaret Boyd.¹ He married Joanna Maitland, daughter of Reverend James Maitland, on 16 August 1762.¹ He died on 17 June 1794.¹
     He graduated from University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He graduated from University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He graduated from University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was the Minister at Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Scotland^G.¹ In 1772 he purchased the lands and barony of Myrton (Mertonhall), Wigtownshire from Charles Gordon, WS.¹

     Basil Boyd was the son of Reverend Andrew Boyd and Margaret Boyd.¹ He died in 1750 at St. Helena^G.¹

     Edward Boyd was born on 19 February 1741.¹ He was the son of Reverend Andrew Boyd and Margaret Boyd.¹

     John Boyd was born on 13 November 1742.¹ He was the son of Reverend Andrew Boyd and Margaret Boyd.¹ He died after 29 July 1783.¹
     He lived at Milton, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     Robert Boyd was born on 27 August 1745.¹ He was the son of Reverend Andrew Boyd and Margaret Boyd.¹

     Jean Boyd was born on 26 May 1730.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Andrew Boyd and Margaret Boyd.¹ She married Reverend John Scott, son of Reverend John Scott, on 17 August 1768.¹ She died on 21 June 1819 at age 89.¹
     From 17 August 1768, her married name became Scott.¹

     Reverend John Scott was the son of Reverend John Scott.¹ He married Jean Boyd, daughter of Reverend Andrew Boyd and Margaret Boyd, on 17 August 1768.¹
     He was the Minister at Tynholm, Scotland^G.¹

     Reverend John Scott was the Minister at New Church, Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.¹

     Margaret Scott is the daughter of Reverend John Scott and Jean Boyd.¹ She married Reverend John Maitland, son of Reverend James Maitland.¹
     Her married name became Maitland.¹

     Reverend John Maitland is the son of Reverend James Maitland.¹ He married Margaret Scott, daughter of Reverend John Scott and Jean Boyd.¹
