     Robert Edwin McAlpine, Baron McAlpine of Moffat was born on 23 April 1907.¹ He was the son of William Hepburn McAlpine and Margaret Donnison Bishop.² He married Ella Mary Gardner Garnett, daughter of James Gardner Garnett and Ella Mary Jones, on 8 December 1930.¹ He died on 7 January 1990 at age 82.³

     From 1981, her married name became Borwick.² After her marriage, Victoria Lorna Peta Poore was styled as Baroness Borwick in April 2007.

     W/Cdr. Roger Dennistoun Poore was born on 19 August 1916.² He was the son of Lt.-Col.
