     Rt. Hon. Robert Dundas of Arniston was born on 6 June 1753.² He was the son of Rt. Hon. Robert Dundas of Arniston and Jean Grant.^2,3 He married Hon. Elizabeth Dundas, daughter of Henry Dundas, 1st Viscount Melville of Melville and Elizabeth Rannie, in May 1797.² He died on 17 June 1819 at age 66.²
     He held the office of Solicitor-General [Scotland] in 1784.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Edinburgh.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)¹ He held the office of Lord Chief Baron of the Court of the Exchequer [Scotland].²

     John Borthwick, 14th of Crookston was born in September 1824.¹ He was the son of John Borthwick, 13th of Crookston and Anne Dundas.¹ He married Elizabeth Mason Pringle, daughter of Vice-Admiral James Pringle, 10th of Torwoodlee, in 1853.¹ He died on 11 February 1907 at age 82, without issue.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berwick.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Edinburgh.¹

     Elizabeth Mason Pringle was the daughter of Vice-Admiral James Pringle, 10th of Torwoodlee.¹ She married John Borthwick, 14th of Crookston, son of John Borthwick, 13th of Crookston and Anne Dundas, in 1853.¹
     From 1853, her married name became Borthwick.¹

     Robert Borthwick was the son of John Borthwick, 13th of Crookston and Anne Dundas.¹ He died, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 91st Regiment.¹

     William Henry Borthwick, 15th of Crookston was born on 28 November 1832.¹ He was the son of John Borthwick, 13th of Crookston and Anne Dundas.¹ He married Rebecca Cathcart, daughter of Robert Cathcart, on 31 December 1864.¹ He died on 8 October 1928 at age 95.¹
     He succeeded as the 21st Lord Borthwick [S., 1452] on 4 October 1910, de jure.¹

     Rebecca Cathcart was the daughter of Robert Cathcart.¹ She married William Henry Borthwick, 15th of Crookston, son of John Borthwick, 13th of Crookston and Anne Dundas, on 31 December 1864.¹ She died on 6 December 1887.¹
     From 31 December 1864, her married name became Borthwick.¹

     James Henry Alexander Borthwick of Glengelt, Master of Borthwick was born on 14 November 1940.¹ He is the son of John Henry Stuart Borthwick of that Ilk, 23rd Lord Borthwick and Margaret Frances Cormack.¹ He married Elspeth MacConachie, daughter of Brigadier Allan Dunn MacConachie, in 1972.¹
     James Henry Alexander Borthwick of Glengelt, Master of Borthwick usually went by his middle name of Henry.¹ He was educated at Gordonstoun School, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was educated at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He was styled as Master of Borthwick in 1986.¹ He lived in 2003 at Channelkirk Cottage, Oxton, Lauder, Berwickshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Elspeth MacConachie is the daughter of Brigadier Allan Dunn MacConachie.¹ She married James Henry Alexander Borthwick of Glengelt, Master of Borthwick, son of John Henry Stuart Borthwick of that Ilk, 23rd Lord Borthwick and Margaret Frances Cormack, in 1972.¹
     From 1972, her married name became Borthwick.¹
