     From 31 January 1969, her married name became Ross.1 She lived in 2003 at Netherhall, Bridge-of-Dee, Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.2

     General Sir James Michael Gow was born on 3 June 1924 at Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.2 He was the son of J. C. Gow.3 He married Jane Emily Scott, daughter of Captain Mason Hogarth Scott and Hon. Irene Florence Seely, on 3 October 1946.4 He died on 26 March 2013 at age 88.2
     He was Equerry to Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)4 General Sir James Michael Gow usually went by his middle name of Michael.4 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)4
