     Sir Joseph Barrington, 1st Bt. was born on 21 February 1764.¹ He was the son of Matthew Barrington and Jane Canter.¹ He married Mary Baggott, daughter of Daniel Baggott, in 1787.¹ He died on 10 January 1846 at age 81.¹
     He founded the hospital in Limerick bearing his name, along with sons.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Barrington, of the City of Limerick [U.K., 1831] on 30 September 1831.¹

     Major John William Barrington was born on 28 October 1917.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Frederick Barrington and Christine Mary Stella Kuhling.¹ He married, firstly, Annie Wetten, daughter of Florian Wetten, on 19 September 1948.¹ He married, secondly, Evelyn Carol Paterson Broten, daughter of Oscar Broten, in 1986.¹ He died on 8 January 1999 at age 81.¹
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Palestine Campaign in 1939.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Irish Irish Fusiliers.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1943, serving in Italy, and captured as a POW.¹

     Lt.-Col. John Frederick Barrington was born on 30 August 1881.¹ He was the son of Colonel Joseph Thomas Barrington and Emma Evans.¹ He married Christine Mary Stella Kuhling, daughter of C. Kuhling, on 15 April 1916.¹ He died on 10 April 1961 at age 79.¹
     He fought in the Somaliland Campaign between 1902 and 1904.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1919, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artiller.¹ He was awarded the Coronation Medal in 1937.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in the occupying troops in Trinidad.¹

     Colonel Joseph Thomas Barrington was born on 4 September 1834.¹ He was the son of Daniel Barrington and Anne Williams.¹ He married Emma Evans, daughter of Thomas Evans, on 14 December 1861.¹ He died on 24 February 1913 at age 78.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Army Ordnance Department.¹ He lived at Charlton, Kent, England^G.²

     Daniel Barrington was born on 14 October 1792.¹ He was the son of Sir Joseph Barrington, 1st Bt. and Mary Baggott.¹ He married Anne Williams, daughter of Richard Williams, on 22 October 1829.¹ He died on 5 February 1842 at age 49.¹
     He was Clerk of the Crown, Limerick.¹

     Matthew Barrington was the son of Benjamin Barrington and Anne Waltho.¹ He married Jane Canter, daughter of John Canter.¹ He died circa June 1765.¹ He was buried on 13 June 1765.¹
     He lived at County Limerick, Ireland^G.¹
