     Edith Gaunt was born circa 1890.¹ She was the daughter of Arthur Gaunt.¹ She married Claude Roulston Barran, son of Alfred Barran and Lily Maria Scattergood, on 10 October 1911.¹ She died on 19 May 1973.¹
     From 10 October 1911, her married name became Barran.¹

     Lilian Joan Barran was born on 23 July 1912.¹ She was the daughter of Claude Roulston Barran and Edith Gaunt.¹ She died on 24 April 1996 at age 83.¹
     Lilian Joan Barran usually went by her middle name of Joan.¹ She fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1946, in the Women’s Royal Naval Service.¹

     Katharine Muriel Barran was born on 21 August 1913.¹ She was the daughter of Claude Roulston Barran and Edith Gaunt.¹ She died on 28 August 1995 at age 82.¹

     Anne Mabel Wharton was the daughter of Captain Thomas Candler Wharton.¹ She married Alfred Barran, son of Sir John Barran, 1st Bt. and Ann Hirst, on 6 April 1904.¹ She died on 6 August 1950.¹
     From 6 April 1904, her married name became Barran.¹

     Captain Thomas Candler Wharton gained the rank of Captain in the 97th Regiment.¹

     Richard Wharton Barran was born on 21 March 1905.¹ He was the son of Alfred Barran and Anne Mabel Wharton.¹ He married Marie Eileen Crabbe, daughter of George Crabbe, on 15 June 1936.¹ He died on 19 July 1961 at age 56.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Marie Eileen Crabbe was the daughter of George Crabbe.¹ She married Richard Wharton Barran, son of Alfred Barran and Anne Mabel Wharton, on 15 June 1936.¹ She died on 3 March 1995.¹
     Marie Eileen Crabbe usually went by her middle name of Eileen.¹ From 15 June 1936, her married name became Barran.¹

     George Crabbe lived at Sri Lanka^G.¹
