He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Barnewall, of Crickstown, co. Meath [I., 1623] on 28 August 1744, after establishing his right to the title at the College of Arms, Dublin.1 He lived at GermanyG.1

Sir Thomas Barnewall, 6th Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Barnewall, of Crickstown, co. Meath [I., 1623] between June 1770 and 1790.1 On his death, his baronetcy was considered to be extinct for 30 years. However, it was merely dormant, eventually being claimed by Sir Robert Barnewall, 8th Bt. in 1821.2
