     Sir Robert Innes, 11th of that Ilk was born circa 1410.² He was the son of Sir Walter Innes, 10th of that Ilk and Euphemia Fraser.² He married unknown daughter Douglas, daughter of Sir William Douglas, 2nd of Drumlanrig, circa 1436.² He died before 1 February 1464.³

     unknown Gordon was the daughter of Patrick Gordon of Methlic and Haddo.¹ She married John Barclay of Towie, son of Sir Patrick Barclay of Towie and Catherine Barclay of Gartlie.¹
     Her married name became Barclay.¹

     Walter Barclay of Towie was the son of John Barclay of Towie.¹ He died before 21 April 1515.¹
     In 1492 he was infeft of his lands.¹ On 15 June 1512 he was witness to an instrument of John Allardice of that Ilk.¹

     Patrick Barclay of Towie was the son of Walter Barclay of Towie.¹ He married Janet Ogilvie, daughter of George Ogilvie of Boyne, in 1528.¹ He died before 1559.¹

     Janet Ogilvie was the daughter of George Ogilvie of Boyne.¹ She married Patrick Barclay of Towie, son of Walter Barclay of Towie, in 1528.¹
     From 1528, her married name became Barclay.¹

     Walter Barclay of Towie was the son of Patrick Barclay of Towie and Janet Ogilvie.¹ He married Elizabeth Hay.¹ He died before 25 April 1587.¹
     On 12 April 1559 he was infelt of his lands and barony.¹ On 25 April 1569 he signed a bond to King James VI of Scotland.¹ On 2 September 1574 he tendered his allegiance.¹ In 1577 he was a cautioner for his kinsman Sir George Barclay of Gartlie.¹

     Elizabeth Hay married Walter Barclay of Towie, son of Patrick Barclay of Towie and Janet Ogilvie.¹
     She was probably a Hay of Dalgety, Aberdeenshire.¹ Her married name became Barclay.¹

     William Barclay was the son of Walter Barclay of Towie and Elizabeth Hay.¹ A contract for the marriage of William Barclay and Anna Napier was signed on 21 March 1602.¹ He died circa 1630.¹
     He graduated from Louvain University, Louvain, Belgium^G, with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)¹ He graduated from Louvain University, Louvain, Belgium^G, with a MAster of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was Professor of Humanity in 1598 at Paris University, Paris, France^G.¹ He wrote the book Nepenthes, or the virtues of Tobacco, published 1615, which provoked King James VI’s Counterblast in reply.¹

     Anna Napier was the daughter of Andrew Napier.¹ A contract for the marriage of Anna Napier and William Barclay was signed on 21 March 1602.¹
     From 21 March 1602, her married name became Barclay.¹
