John Berkeley, 5th Baron Berkeley of Stratton1 
He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 13 August 1713.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Stockbridge between 1735 and 1741.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Berkeley of Stratton, Cornwall [E., 1658] on 24 March 1740/41.1 He held the office of Captain of the Yeoman of the Guard between 1743 and 1746.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 13 February 1752.1 He held the office of Treasurer of the Household between 1755 and 1756.1 He held the office of Captain of the Gentlemen Pensioners between 1756 and 1762.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of the Tower Hamlets between 1762 and 1770.1 He held the office of Constable of the Tower of London between 1762 and 1770.1
On his death, his Barony became extinct.1 He devised his valuable estates (which included Berkeley Square, Stratton Street and Bruton Street in London) to his distant cousin, the Earl of Berkeley.1

Hon. Dorothy Savage1

Hon. Dorothy Savage was born circa 1611.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Savage, 1st Viscount Savage of Rocksavage and Elizabeth Darcy, Countess Rivers.1 She married Charles Howard, 2nd Earl of Berkshire, son of Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Berkshire and Lady Elizabeth Cecil, on 10 April 1637.1 She died on 6 December 1691.1 She was buried on 10 December 1691 at Ewelme, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 Her will (dated 4 December 1688) was proven (by probate) on 9 December 1691.1
From 10 April 1637, her married name became Howard.1 After her marriage, Hon. Dorothy Savage was styled as Countess of Berkshire on 16 July 1669.
