George Rochfort, 2nd Earl of Belvidere1

George Rochfort, 2nd Earl of Belvidere was born on 12 October 1738.1 He was the son of Robert Rochfort, 1st Earl of Belvidere and Hon. Mary Molesworth.1 He married, firstly, Dorothea Bloomfield, daughter of John Bloomfield and Jane Jocelyn, on 20 August 1775.1 He married, secondly, Jane Mackay, daughter of Reverend James Mackay, on 10 November 1803.1 He died on 13 May 1814 at age 75 at Great Denmark Street, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, without issue.1
He was styled as Viscount Belfield between 1756 and 1774.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Philipstown between 1758 and 1761.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Westmeath between 1761 and 1774.1 He held the office of Sheriff of County Westmeath in 1762.1 He held the office of a Governor of County Westmeath between 1772 and 1814.1 He held the office of Grand Master of the Freemasons [Ireland] between 1774 and 1776.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Belfield, of co. Westmeath [I., 1738] on 13 November 1774.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Belfield, of co. Westmeath [I., 1751] on 13 November 1774.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Belvidere, of co. Westmeath [I., 1756] on 13 November 1774.1 On 7 June 1776 he obtained a pension of £800 per year for his and his father’s services.1
On his death, his three peerages became extinct.1

Dorothea Bloomfield1 
After her marriage, Dorothea Bloomfield was styled as Countess of Belvidere on 20 August 1775. From 20 August 1775, her married name became Rochfort.1

Jane Mackay was the daughter of Reverend James Mackay.1 She married, firstly, George Rochfort, 2nd Earl of Belvidere, son of Robert Rochfort, 1st Earl of Belvidere and Hon. Mary Molesworth, on 10 November 1803.1 She married, secondly, Abraham Boyd, son of Reverend James Boyd and Mary Martin, on 14 December 1815 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.3 She died in December 1836 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.3
After her marriage, Jane Mackay was styled as Countess of Belvidere on 10 November 1803. From 10 November 1803, her married name became Rochfort.1 From 14 December 1815, her married name became Boyd.3
