     Charles Evelyn John Monson was born on 4 May 1878.¹ He was the son of Rev. Hon. Evelyn John Monson and Anne Grace Hynde Kinnear.¹ He married Mabel Gertrude Pritchard, daughter of Edwin Benjamin Pritchard, on 23 April 1924.¹ He died on 17 October 1953 at age 75.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd/4th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment.¹

     Mabel Gertrude Pritchard is the daughter of Edwin Benjamin Pritchard.¹ She married Charles Evelyn John Monson, son of Rev. Hon. Evelyn John Monson and Anne Grace Hynde Kinnear, on 23 April 1924.¹
     From 23 April 1924, her married name became Monson.¹
