Sir James Ashe, 2nd Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Ashe, of Tittenham, co. Middlesex [E., 1660] on 15 April 1686.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Downton from 1701 to 1702.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Downton between 1702 and 1705.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Wiltshire from 1706 to 1707.1
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.2

Catharine Bowyer was born in 1671.2 She was the daughter of Sir Edmund Bowyer and Martha Wilson.1 She married Sir James Ashe, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Joseph Ashe, 1st Bt. and Mary Wilson, in 1698.1 She and Sir James Ashe, 2nd Bt. were separated.1 She died in May 1717, from St. Anthony’s fire.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered to to her sister, Frances Bowyer, spinster on 1 June 1717.1
From 1698, her married name became Ashe.1
