     John FitzGibbon, 2nd Earl of Clare was born on 10 June 1792 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of John FitzGibbon, 1st Earl of Clare and Anne Whaley.¹ He married Hon. Elizabeth Julia Georgiana Burrell, daughter of Peter Burrell, 1st Baron Gwydyr and Priscilla Barbara Elizabeth Bertie, Baroness Willoughby de Eresby, on 14 April 1826 at Richmond, Surrey, England^G.¹ He died on 18 August 1851 at age 59 at Brighton, Sussex, England^G, without issue.¹ His will was proven (by probate) on 26 September 1851.¹
     He was the subject of a school-boy crush by the George Gordon, Lord Byron.² He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron FitzGibbon of Sidbury, co. Devon [G.B., 1799] on 28 January 1802.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Clare [I., 1795] on 28 January 1802.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount FitzGibbon of Limerick, co. Limerick [I., 1793] on 28 January 1802.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron FitzGibbon of Lower Connello, co.      Phoebe Georgina Frances Otway was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Jocelyn Otway.¹ She married George Nesbitt Armstrong, son of Charles Nesbitt Frederick Armstrong and Helen Porter Mitchell, on 18 December 1906.¹ She and George Nesbitt Armstrong were divorced in 1908.¹ She died in 1939.¹
     Phoebe Georgina Frances Otway also went by the nick-name of Ruby.¹ From 18 December 1906, her married name became Armstrong.¹

     John Charles Henry FitzGibbon, Viscount FitzGibbon was born on 2 May 1829.¹ He was the son of Richard Hobart FitzGibbon, 3rd Earl of Clare and Diana Woodcock.¹ He died on 25 October 1854 at age 25 at Balaclava, Russia^G, killed in action.¹
     He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 21 October 1846.¹ He fought in the Battle of Balaclava.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 8th Hussars.¹

     Evelyn Mary Doyle was the daughter of Michael Doyle.¹ She married George Nesbitt Armstrong, son of Charles Nesbitt Frederick Armstrong and Helen Porter Mitchell, on 20 February 1913.¹ She died in 1973.¹
     From 20 February 1913, her married name became Armstrong.¹

     Michael Doyle lived at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia^G.¹

     Captain Hon. William Howarth Vestey was born on 24 April 1912.² He was the son of Samuel Vestey, 2nd Baron Vestey and Frances Sarah Howarth.^1,2 He married Helen Pamela Fullerton Melba Armstrong, daughter of George Nesbitt Armstrong and Evelyn Mary Doyle, on 27 September 1939.² He died on 25 June 1944 at age 32 at Italy^G, killed in aciton.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Scots Guards.¹ He fought in the Second World War.²
