Archibald Hugh Arbuthnot was born on 7 December 1875.¹ He was the son of Major Archibald Ernest Arbuthnot and Anne Elizabeth Ball.¹ He married, firstly, Gertrude Alice Green, daughter of Reverend Frederick Charles Green, on 25 February 1900.¹ He married, secondly, Marjory Beech, daughter of Reverend Howard Beech, on 2 February 1920.¹ He died on 3 January 1957 at age 81.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 7th Gurkha Rifles, Indian Army.¹ He was Commander of the Field Force to the Persian Frontier between 1913 and 1914.¹ He was Commander of the Field Force to the Naga Hills in 1916.¹ He fought in the Third Afghan War in 1919.¹ He fought in the campaign with the Zhob Valley Field Force in 1922, where he was invalided.¹ He lived at The Old Malthouse, Yapton, Arundel, Sussex, England^G.²

     Gertrude Alice Green was the daughter of Reverend Frederick Charles Green.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Archibald Hugh Arbuthnot, son of Major Archibald Ernest Arbuthnot and Anne Elizabeth Ball, on 25 February 1900.¹ She died on 11 November 1918.¹
     From 25 February 1900, her married name became Arbuthnot.¹

     Reverend Frederick Charles Green was the Vicar at Denmead, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Lt.-Cdr. Archibald Hugh Gough Arbuthnot was born on 12 November 1900.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Archibald Hugh Arbuthnot and Gertrude Alice Green.¹ He married, firstly, Molly Irene Frances Weeks, daughter of Arthur William Weeks, on 2 July 1935.¹ He and Molly Irene Frances Weeks were divorced in 1954.¹ He married, secondly, Emma Mary Bell, daughter of Reverend Gilbert Ambrose Bell, on 18 February 1955.¹ He died on 2 January 1959 at age 58.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He fought in the Second World War in 1939.¹

     Molly Irene Frances Weeks is the daughter of Arthur William Weeks.¹ She married Lt.-Cdr. Archibald Hugh Gough Arbuthnot, son of Lt.-Col. Archibald Hugh Arbuthnot and Gertrude Alice Green, on 2 July 1935.¹ She and Lt.-Cdr. Archibald Hugh Gough Arbuthnot were divorced in 1954.¹
     From 2 July 1935, her married name became Arbuthnot.¹

     Emma Mary Bell was the daughter of Reverend Gilbert Ambrose Bell.¹ She married Lt.-Cdr. Archibald Hugh Gough Arbuthnot, son of Lt.-Col. Archibald Hugh Arbuthnot and Gertrude Alice Green, on 18 February 1955.¹ She died on 26 September 1994.¹
     Emma Mary Bell usually went by her middle name of Mary.¹ From 18 February 1955, her married name became Arbuthnot.¹
