     Jane Burton was the daughter of Sir Thomas Burton, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Pretyman.^1,2

     Sir Thomas Burton, 2nd Bt. was born before 1618.² He was the son of Sir Thomas Burton, 1st Bt. and Anne Reynolds.² He married Elizabeth Pretyman, daughter of Sir John Pretyman, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Turpin, before 1657. He died on 3 April 1659.²
     He fought in the English Civil War, where he distinguished himself on the part of the King.² In 1641 he was in the fist Commission of Array for Leicestershire, and was sequestered and imprisoned.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Burton, of Stockerston, co. Leicester [E., 1622] circa August 1655.²

     Sir George Beaumont, 6th Bt. was baptised on 16 March 1726 at Great Dunmow, Essex, England^G.^1,2 He was the son of William Beaumont and Elizabeth Jordain.¹ He married Rachel Howland, daughter of Michael Howland and Hannah Coldham, on 26 March 1751 at St. John’s Church, Clerkenwell, London, England^G.^1,2 He died on 4 February 1762 at age 35 at Dunmow, Essex, England^G.^1,2 He was buried at Dunmow, Essex, England^G.² His will was proven (by probate) on 10 February 1763.²
     He was educated in 1735 at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.² He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Beaumont, of Stoughton Grange, co. Leicester [E., 1661] on 23 December 1738.¹ He matriculated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 27 November 1745.² He lived at Great Dunmow, Essex, England^G.² He lived at Cole Orton, Leicestershire, England^G.² He held the office of Sheriff of Leicestershire from 1761 to 1762.² His last will was dated 13 January 1762.
