Sir Thomas Burton, 2nd Bt.1 
He fought in the English Civil War, where he distinguished himself on the part of the King.2 In 1641 he was in the fist Commission of Array for Leicestershire, and was sequestered and imprisoned.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Burton, of Stockerston, co. Leicester [E., 1622] circa August 1655.2

Leicester [E., 1661] on 23 December 1738.1 He matriculated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 27 November 1745.2 He lived at Great Dunmow, Essex, EnglandG.2 He lived at Cole Orton, Leicestershire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Leicestershire from 1761 to 1762.2 His last will was dated 13 January 1762.
