Charles Powlett, 2nd Baron Bayning of Foxley1 
He was given the name of Charles Townshend at birth.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1808 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Truro between 1808 and 1810.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Bayning of Foxley, Berkshire [G.B., 1797] on 19 May 1810.1 Circa 1821 his name was legally changed to Charles Powlett.2

On his death, the Barony Bayning of Foxley became extinct.1
